IrfanView32 is a small but versatile image file viewer for Windows 95. It opens a multitude of formats, including .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .dib, .rle, .pcx, .png, .tif, .tga, .ras/.sun, .ico, .avi, .wmf, .emf., .pbm, .pgm, .ppm, .iff/.lbm, and Photo-CD (with Overview Photo-CD support). You'll also find support for multiple-GIF, multiple-ICO and multipage-TIFF images. Pictures can be saved as .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png, or .tif graphics, so you can use the program for image conversion. You can instantly set graphics as Windows wallpaper or resize them, plus you can use a variety of viewing options, including rotating, flipping, and zooming. IrfanView32 features a handy preview option, drag-and-drop support, a fast directory view, and slideshow capabilities. Files can be printed, deleted, copied, and moved from within the program. Convert 16-bit and higher graphics to 256 colors, adjust brightness and contrast, edit an images palette, convert to grayscale, or apply a negative effect. You're won't find a lot of toolbars and such in the program's minimalist interface, but image display is fast and vivid -- perfect for associating with most of the graphics types on your system for quick viewing. IrfanView32 is free to home users; a nominal fee is required for commercial users.
